Q: When is the earliest we can arrive in the staging area (Green Lot)?
A: The Green Lot is used for student parking until 3:15 pm. Floats may arrive after 3:15 pm. Floats must be staged by 4 pm.

Q: Can our group have its own theme?
A: Yes. Be sure it is tasteful and school-appropriate.

Q: Where is the best place for people to park and watch the parade?
A: The High School Blue Lot, High School Staff lot, and Wildwood Elementary School Lot are the best places to park for spectators. Enter the campus from Hilton Trail or Stillwater Road. No parking of vehicles in Yellow or Green lots. If you are a parade participant, we recommend you park your vehicle on the road leading to Wildwood Elementary School or at the school.

Q: Can we throw candy out at the parade?
A: Any candy that is given out needs to be handed to children or put into bags. No throwing candy by persons walking or on floats. No candy with peanuts or nuts.

Q: Can we shoot water guns from our float?
A: No

Q: Can our group walk instead of using a float or vehicle?
A: Yes

Q: Can we play music from a speaker on our float?
A: Yes. No explicit music is permitted. Music should be appropriate for students in grades K-5.

Q: Can our group distribute items other than candy?
A: Yes. Pencils, stickers, and toy balls are great examples of items you can give away. Do not throw these items, you can hand or place these items in hands and bags.

Q: How can local youth associations get involved?
A: Local youth athletic associations may participate with their own float.

Q: Can a club/team/group enter multiple floats?
A: No, the homecoming parade will feature one float per club/team/group.

Q: Will the parade be held if it rains?
A: We will be monitoring the weather the day of the parade and communicate if it is canceled. If it is raining the parade will not take place. The parade will not be rescheduled if it is canceled.
